Fireworks @ Downtown Lafayette

We had dinner outside before going to watch the fireworks. Most restaurants were not open, and thus we decided to have dinner at Long John Silver's...

YH had the 2 fish and 3 chicken combo...

I had the 2 fish combo... Have been craving for fish and chips... =p

After dinner, we walked over to the bridge...

Lots of people were already there waiting for the fireworks...

We walked to catch a glimpse of the Stars and Stripes Concert... Did not stay but went back to the bridge to find a good spot to view the fireworks... =p

Lots of people gathered on the bridge and it was tough finding a spot... =p

We managed to find a spot which we think will be good for viewing the fireworks... This is our view of the Wabash river...

While waiting for the fireworks to start, we were entertained by people setting off their own fireworks...

The fireworks! They lasted for about 20 mins and were rather huge...

After fireworks viewing, we went for ice-cream at Silver Dipper on our way home... It was really crowded, similarly Frozen Custard was crowded too when we passed by it earlier on. Guess everyone wanted a cold treat as it was a really hot and humid day!

Our double scoop ice-cream in a vanilla waffle cone. The flavours we had were Lemon Italian Ice and Ultimate Oreo... The Lemon Italian Ice was a little too sour for me... =p
