Blueberry Picking @ Prelock Blueberry Farm

We went to pick blueberries at Prelock Blueberry Farm on Saturday morning. The farm is in Lafayette and is about half an hour drive from our home....

We were given lined buckets for our blueberries and assigned a row of blueberry bushes to pick from. These were the row of bushes we picked from...

Us with the bushes...

The blueberries at Prelock were really sweet and there were lots of ripe berries to pick! I have never liked blueberries before and am rather surprised at their sweetness! I guess blueberry will be something I will eat from now, provided they are sweet... =p It was not difficult to pick blueberries as the ripe ones drop or can be removed easily... The height of the bushes was good to pick too as you need not bend so much like when picking strawberries or raspberries... =)

Me hard at work picking the blueberries...

Pics of blueberries... Cannot really see the blueness in the pics as the sun was really too bright... The blue ones were the ripe ones while the green and redish purple ones are not ripe yet...

Our bucket of blueberries after about an hour picking...

Us in front of the blueberry bushes after we finished picking and were ready to pay...

Me with our bag of blueberries after paying for them... We picked about 3.75lb of blueberries! =)

Pic of our blueberries taken at home where you could see the blueness... =p
