Great Smoky Mountains National Park - Day 3 (Newfound Gap, Clingmans Dome, Cataract Falls & Sinks)

In the bid to beat the crowd, we moved out before sunrise after having our breakfast at the hotel. We first drove along Newfound Gap Road from Tennessee towards North Carolina. Along the way, we stopped at Newfound Gap and Clingmans Dome.

We reached the end of the road at North Carolina in the afternoon where we visited Mingus Mill and Mountain Farm Museum.

After that, we drove back to the Tennessee portion of the Great Smoky Mountains where we visited Cataract Falls and the Sinks.

We ended our day in the mountains around sunset before making our way to Gatlinburg for dinner via the Gatlinburg Trolley.

For dinner, we went to Smoky Mountain Brewery where Wendy had Ole' Smoky Burger and I had Grilled Mountain Melt.

 

 

After dinner, we walked around Gatlinburg before making our way back to the hotel.
