Great Smoky Mountains National Park - Day 1 (Drive to Louisville, KY)

We drove to Louisville, KY in the evening where we stayed for a night.

Before checking into our hotel, we had dinner at Lynn's Paradise Cafe.

I had Pan-Fried Pecan Chicken in Woodford Reserve Mustard Maple Cream Sauce and Wendy had Paradise Hot Brown. Hot Brown is a local specialty in Louisville and is a hot sandwich created at the Brown Hotel in Louisville in 1926. We did not travel to Brown Hotel which is in Louisville Downtown. We chose to try it at Lynn's Paradise Cafe instead.

For dessert, we had Derby Pie. Derby Pie is a specialty pastry in Kentucky, so we decided to order to try too.

After our dinner, we drove to Baymont Inn and Suites where we stayed for a night.
