Great Smoky Mountains National Park - Day 4 (Cades Cove, Laurel Falls & Roaring Fork)

We moved out before sunrise and went to Cades Cove where we spent the morning.

We were driving along Cades Cove when we saw a lot of people stopping their vehicles by the the road and  walked towards some trees. We followed them and saw some black bears sleeping on the trees. This is a picture of the black bear sleeping on the tree.

We also had a close encounter with a black bear. We were driving along Cades Cove when we suddenly saw people stopping their vehicles by the road. We followed suit and saw a black bear lazing at the field. It was very near to us (about 50m away).

In the afternoon, we went for a hike to Laurel Falls.

Next, we went for Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Overall, we spotted bears 6 times for the whole day (2 times at each location). After that, we had dinner at Old Mill Restaurant. I had Southern Fried Chicken and Wendy had Southern Fried Pork Chops.

 

 

 

After dinner, we went back to our hotel to rest.
