YH had 鸡腿饭 and 鱿鱼羹...
I had 炸猪排饭... They were all nice but we felt that they were a little over fried... =p
As usual we dropped by the neighboring mart to buy some drinks...
Then, we decided to check in the hotel before proceeding with our plans... We got the Hyatt Place at Itasca for 35 USD at priceline which we think is a really good deal as it comes with complimentary parking, wireless internet and breakfast! =) It was a small hotel in the middle of a business park and the staff were rather friendly...
We were a little disappointed with our 1st room as it was an accessible room with only 1 bed that is smaller than queen size. However, the staff agreed to change our room tomorrow as they had none available today. We liked the rooms as they had a wet bar area with a fridge which is great to cool our drinks during summer! There was also a really big couch and TV! =)
Our original plan was then to drive to Northwestern University to have a look at the campus. However, we were stuck in a really bad traffic jam and if we continued we will not have enough time to explore Northwestern before dark. Hence, we decided to abandon that plan and just visit IKEA. We will visit Northwestern on another day...
Me wishing to have a nice kitchen with ample space to prepare food... =)
After shopping at IKEA, we went to Asian Noodle House for our dinner...
We had Curry Laksa and Yong Tau Foo Soup... The Laksa was spicy but nice! =)
We had to share a Chendol as they only had 1 left! But luckily there was still 1 left and not none! =p
Us about to start tucking in! =)
