Spencer Farm & Indianapolis Museum of Art

We went to pick strawberries yesterday at Spencer Farm...
The strawberry field where we picked our strawberries...

We were given a box and assigned a row. Then, we were to go right to the far end and start from there. We could pick the strawberries on the left and right of the path. When we finished picking, we had to stick a small flag into the ground indicating the spot we stopped so that others could continue from there...

We reached the end and started looking for ripe strawberries... There were others hard at work too... =p

Yeah! Found 1 bright red strawberry to add to our box! =)
The strawberries in the fields...

Me hard at work finding strawberries while hubby was busy taking pictures! =p

Us with our box and still near the starting point... =p

Our box getting fuller with strawberries!

Our stop point...

Our box of strawberries. We did not pick till our box is full as it will be too much for us... =p

We even saw some flowers of the strawberry plant...

After strawberry picking, we went to browse in their Shop...

Some jams and pies for sale in the shop...

If you do not want to pick your own strawberries, you can purchase pre-picked strawberries too...

The box of strawberries we brought home! =) These strawberries were really nice and sweet! The store bought ones cannot be compared to these!! =p

After that, we had lunch at Mandarin House at nearby Carmel...

Us inside the restaurant...

Our food....

糖醋排骨 (Sweet & Sour Sparerib) and 脆皮豆腐 (Crispy Tofu). Awesome!! =)

Then, we visited Indianapolis Museum of Art...

Some Impressionist and Neo-Impressionist paintings that we liked...

Nicely decorated vase and plate...

Loved this landscape painting that looked really real! Look at the stillness of the water...

Some very nice soft-paste porcelains...

Hard-paste porcelains...

Me in a pavilion in the museum...

A very large Tiffany stained-glass window...

Me with a really large oil on linen painting...

Some decorations in the museum stairways...

View of the museum grounds from inside the museum...

The Fashion area in the museum...

A wooden door from India...

After the museum closed, we took a walk in the gardens...

"LOVE" sculpture in the gardens. The sculpture is designed by American artist Robert Indiana and this is the original sculpture... =p

Nice purple flowers...

Me with some sculpture in the gardens...

Nice flowers in the gardens! =)

These are interesting flowers as they are upside down...

Some paths...

Lilly House, which we did not enter this time but planned to do so next time...

After that, we did some shopping at Saraga...

And we also went Trader Joe's...

Veggie Chips we bought from Trader Joe's...

Then, we went for dinner at Thai Taste nearby... We decided to give this Thai restaurant a try as YH saw it being recommended online... =p It was definitely a good decision as the food was great! =)

Inside the restaurant which was not very crowded...

YH could not resist ordering Grilled Calamari (Plameuk Yang) with sweet chili sauce as appetizer... =p However, the calamari tasted good, just the right texture! The chili sauce was real spicy for me, I underestimated it... =p

For entree, hubby ordered Moo Thod, which is fried marinated pork served with Thai special sauce on the side. This was great too!! =)

As for me, I had Pad Thai with Chicken... Think this is the best Pad Thai I had so far in the USA... =p

Us with our entrees...

Complimentary almond cookies that came after we finished our meal... They were nice too! =)

We went home after dinner... It was a satisfying day... =)
