It was really crowded, lots of people were already there...

From Sugar Valley, we took a shuttle bus to the place where we would get on the canoes. It was a short distance away. You can choose to use the canoe, kayak (single person) or tube. These are the tubes, lots of them...

The starting point where our friends are getting on their canoe/kayak...

Me at the front of our canoe...

The route passes through 2 covered bridges and this is the 1st one. Parke County, where we were at, has the most number of covered bridges...

Us approaching the bridge...

The red covered bridge...

Some graffiti...

Scenery along the creek...

Me at work paddling... Basically the river flow was enough to keep us going and it was quite fast too... The route was rather short and we sometimes paddled up stream to make full use of the time... It was basically rather relaxing as not much paddling was required...

Some geese...

Me again... =p

More scenery...

Our friends stopping at a bank...

More geese...

More scenery pics...

Approaching a suspension bridge - the midway point of our route...

We stopped at this place slightly after the midway point for a break...

Our canoe resting too... =p

View from our rest point...

After some rest, water, food and playing with stones time, we continued our journey along the creek...

This is the second covered bridge, which is our end point...

The end point where we had to carry our kayak/canoe up a flight of stairs...

Me by our canoe at the end point...

Looking down at the creek...

The covered bridge is named Cox Ford Bridge...

And a group photo at the end point while waiting for the shuttle bus back to Sugar Valley...

It was a short ride back and this is the shuttle bus we took. We stayed at Sugar Valley a little while to dry our clothes... After that, we decided to go for lunch at nearby Rockville...

The restaurant we wanted to go to seemed to have closed and we walked around a little while deciding where to go next... This is their City Hall...

Still undecided where to go for lunch...

Buildings in Rockville...

Finally, we decided to give Half Time Pizza & Subs a try... It is a restaurant along the stretch of shops where the restaurant we originally wanted to go to was located...

YH and me shared a pizza. We had Half Time Deluxe (Italian sausage, pepperoni, fresh sliced mushrooms, sweet red onion, thin sliced green peppers with a blend of Mozzarella and Provolone cheese). The pizza was good!! =)

After lunch, we headed home... However, we stopped for dessert at Lindy Freeze at Linden as our friend said that it was rather famous...

Some benches and tables outside...

I had their black raspberry sherbet and YH had pumkin Shake... Both were good! =) And while sitting outside to have our dessert, we concluded that it should be rather famous as its business was quite good. There's always people coming in to buy some dessert... =p

After dessert, we continued on our drive home... =)
