Cherry Picking @ Annie's Orchard

We went cherry picking at Annie's Orchard on Sat morning. Annie's Orchard is in West Lafayette and is about 25 mins drive from our apartment. Besides cherries, the orchard has strawberries, blueberries and peaches available for u-pick too. But on sat, it was only cherries. The price of u-pick cherries was cheap too @ $1.50/lb, much cheaper than that in supermarkets. The weather was not nice to us as it started raining a little while we were driving there. Nevertheless, we decided to continue with our plans...

There were not many cherry trees there and we were told we could pick from 3 rows of trees... There were 2 types of cherries available - dark red ones and orange red ones, where the orange red ones are sweeter. We did try them and find the orange red cherries sweeter. However, there were not many dark red cherries available for us to pick and I think we only picked 2 dark red cherries... =p

Our bucket of cherries... Not a lot, only about 1 pound... We would have picked more but it was raining and getting we were dripping water so we called it a day... I guess the weather was playing tricks on us as it stopped raining as soon as we were near home... =(
