On Sunday night, we had dinner at Maru Sushi with 2 other married couples... The guys were in hubby's lab and one of the wives had just came over to join her husband. The restaurant was a rather small one and it was full when we arrived. We had to wait for about 20 - 30 mins before we were finally seated. It seemed that they are going to expand into the neighbouring shop space too as there was Maru Sushi pasted on the adjacent door too. These should enable them to sit more people at a time... Beside us, there were others waiting outside the restaurant too, their business was rather good!
YH and me were a little surprised that being a Jap restaurant, they do not serve green tea and only had hot tea. Another surprise was that if you order water, they actually serve you bottled water.
For our dinner, YH had something like salmon don, where the raw salmon pieces were arranged on top a bowl of rice... It was rather nice and the salmon tasted fresh too! =p
I had Tonkatsu which was quite nice too! It was nicely arranged but it would be better if it was served in a bento box... =p
We think that the food at Maru Sushi is quite nice but rather expensive! I guess Jap food is ex. =p
