NBA Game (Indiana Pacers vs Toronto Raptors)

We went to Indy to watch our 1st NBA game on Tue night!! =) We received an email for 2 free tickets to the game and it was an offer too good to resist as they were club level tickets!! These tickets costs slightly more than USD100 each on normal days, and thus it was a really good offer! =p If we were to pay to watch a game, we would most probably buy balcony seats, and thus this was a good chance to experience the seats and view at the club level. Hence we decided to go for it even though it was against Toronto Raptors, not a team we are interested in. Our guess was that there were too many unsold tickets, and thus they decided to give complimentary tickets... =p The tickets were free but after adding the convenience and processing fee at Ticketmaster, we had to pay USD5+, still a good deal for club seats!

The Conseco Fieldhouse, home of the Indiana Pacers...

Inside Conseco Fieldhouse, above the ticketing area...

We were allowed to enter at 6pm and there was a band performing...

We walked around and this was taken at the entrance to the gift shop. You could stand beside and compare your height against the players...

We then went to our seats... A guy then came up to us and gave us a menu for food and drinks. He told us that for club level, we need not go out to buy our food or drinks and could just order it from him. Our items will then be delivered to us. The whole stadium was still rather empty, hence we went out again as there was lots of time left before the start of the game..

We passed the Pacemates (cheerleaders for the Pacers) autograph session and stopped to get their autographs...
We also took photos with them...

We also went to had our caricatures drawn by a caricaturist! =)

And we saw Boomer, the Pacers mascot, and had photos taken with him too!

After walking around more we went in to wait for the start of the match... The view from our seats were rather good! =)

The Pacemates dance routine...

The players warming up...

The singing of the national anthem of both teams...

Our hosts for the night...

We also realised that the TV hosts could see themselves on the screen while they were talking...

The Pacers and Raptors gathering just before the start of the match...

The jump ball that started of the game...

Some random shots of the game in play... Pacers shooting the ball...

The score after the 1st quarter was Pacers 32 - Raptors 34...

Performance by a dance academy during half time interval... A few of them were really young kids...

More random shots in the second half...

Their 2nd dance performance...

The score before the start of the 4th quarter was Pacers 100 - Raptors 86...

Slam dunk performance...

Pacemates in their 3rd outfit and another dance performance...

The machine that "shoots" t-shirts to the crowd but it never reached the club level... =(

The final score was Pacers 130 - Raptors 115! Indiana Pacers won the game!! We were glad that we watched a game that Pacers won!! =)

Other entertainment during intervals include:
  1. Finding spectators that looked like characters from The Office
  2. Shooting of balls to spectators
  3. Raining of Denny's coupons from above
  4. Children pancake eating competition
Photo of the empty stadium as people were leaving...

Giant basketball at the ceiling in the gift shop...

Empty ticketing area...

Then we left and headed home... They gave us these cards with codes to be entered at a website to see what prize we won... Well, from 2 of the cards we won 4 more free tickets to Pacers game!! 2 free tickets lead us to 4 more free tickets!! We selected the game we were interested in and then received an email stating that we would receive our free tickets via e-mail from a Pacers representative 48 hours before the game... Well we would just have to wait to see if this is real and how it works... The prize for the other 2 cards were the same - a $10 gift card to PacersGear.com but we had to spend $40 or more to use the discount... Don't think we would be utilizing it as we are not really interested in Pacers stuff... =p
