4th July BBQ @ Nelson's House

After lunch we drove to Nelson's house...

While there we listened to songs, played cards and ping-pong before the BBQ... These are the first 2 plates of food - Hotdogs and pork chops!

Satay! There's pork and beef satay... =)

Our chefs hard at work... It was raining so an umbrella was needed...

The food almost finishing... There was hotdogs, pork chops, chicken, beef, satay with peanut sauce, chicken wings... A lot of meat!! Someone brought salad which contained instant noodles and it tasted great! =)

It was fireworks time after dinner!! This is the fireworks they bought...

First we tried something small - the tank...

This is very cute! After lighting it, the tank actually moves forward before shooting sparks!!

It was still too bright for fireworks so we went back in for some food while waiting for the sky to turn dark... We went out again close to 10pm when the sky was getting dark and saw this fireworks display by others... All around us we could hear the sound of fireworks, guess everyone is taking the chance to play with them as this is one of the holidays where we are allowed to play with fireworks! Furthermore it is their Independence Day and everyone is celebrating it! Even Purdue has its own fireworks display...

This is round 1 of our fireworks display! The guys were to set off 10 canisters of fireworks!!

Our fireworks must have been great as we had spectators where people from the neighbouring houses came out to watch... =p We had fun too and enjoyed ourselves playing with the fireworks!!

This is another type of fireworks that we had that night. This is pretty nice too! =)

And this is me lighting fireworks for the 1st time! Was a little nervous initially but after lighting the 1st one I went on the light a 2nd one for the next round... =p It was fun!!

After all the fireworks playing it was getting late and we had to make our journey home... Along the drive we saw a few fireworks too... People are playing with them everywhere even when it is getting late... =p
