Ford Dining Court @ Purdue

We had a very filling dinner @ Ford Dining Court just now... I have been wanting to experience eating at a dining court and finally got my wish today! =) Dining courts are meal places for the students that live in the residence halls as they can purchase meal plans for use at the dining courts.

Basically the dining court is something like a buffet restaurant where there are many types of food and you just take whatever you want to eat... There's a salad counter, asian food counter, pizza counter, grill counter, bread counter, dessert counter and of course a drinks section. The selection of food is not bad. So you just grab a tray, utensils and plate and off you go to the various counters to choose your food. Then you can find a seat and have your meal. =)

Basically we a plate from the salad counter, soup, Singapore curry noodles (not sure why it is named this), Thai curry chicken, vege stir fry, pork pot stickers (think it is more like dumpling as it is not pan fried), pizza, Korean grilled shark, beef hamburger patty, fries, beef pot roast, some chicken and chicken wrap. We had cheesecake and tiramisu for dessert. Before we left we even made an ice-cream cream to have on the go... The food is not extremely fanstastic but there's variety and it is not very expensive. Its USD8.88 for students and cheaper if you have a dining plan. It's also an experience to try eating in the dining court to have a feel of it. Probably will try the other dining courts too as each has a different feature. =p Realised that their menu items are rather different daily and even weekly. Felt that this is quite good as you will not get bored of eating the same thing. Next time have to check out the menu before deciding when to go... =p
