Some tips to viewing the shooting stars are:
- Look for a safe and dark place, away from city lights.
- Look to the east/northeast in the hours after midnight.
- Put an obstruction between the moon and yourself to shield away some of the moon light.
After midnight, we decided to venture out around in PV to see if we could catch any of the meteors... =p We realised that the moon was really big and bright that night, no wonder there was the warning on the exceptionally bright moon that night and the tip to shield away the moon light. We walked around with our heads looking up in the sky but failed to see any shooting stars. Not sure if it is because PV was too bright... We then returned home and hoped that we would be more lucky later on...
We woke up at around 3.15am after only going to bed at 1am... Yawnz... YH went down first to check on the weather while I was getting ready... A while later he came up and told me excitedly that he had saw a shooting star!! I was wide awake now and really excited and quickly got ready and left home... And it was true while walking to our car, we saw another one, it was rather bright!! On the drive there, I kept looking at the sky and saw more shooting stars!! =)
The spot which we went to view the meteors was rather dark... The road we were on had some buildings on the left and the right was some farm land... We parked our car and stood by it with our heads up in the sky... =p The moon was really bright too and we had back face it so as to block its light... We did see the shooting stars, most rather faint and a few brighter ones!! YH tried to take photos or videos of them but had no luck and was rather disappointed... =p
We left our viewing spot around 5:15am... While driving home we decided to drop by McDonald's for breakfast before going home to sleep... =p
Hot teas to drink after standing in the cold...
