Boilermaker Night Train Parade and Pep Rally @ Purdue University

On Friday night, we went to the Boilermaker Night Train Parade... It was a very cold night and the wind made it feel even colder. At the start of the parade is Purdue train followed by the marching band...

A video clip featuring the twirlers, girls with poms poms and the flag corps leading the band...

The Purdue All-American Marching Band playing the song Hail Purdue...

At the back of the band were floats by various organisations plus the candidates for the homecoming king and queen. We followed the parade till the end point at Slayter Center and stayed on for the Pep Rally...

Here's Purdue Pete on the stage...

Performances by the PMO - Purdue Musical Organizations...

There were also performances by the Purdue Juggling and Unicycle Club...

This guy was riding a taller than normal unicycle and even did a little juggling on board the unicycle...

A swirler "challenging" the jugglers. She surprised everyone when she suddenly moved to the centre of the stage and started swirling her batons when the Juggling and Unicycle Club finished their performance...

The Purdue cheerleaders...

Crowning of the Homecoming Queen and Kings... Yeah it is Kings in the plural form as there was a tie for the King and thus 2 guys were crowned. It seemed that couple 7 was the lucky one as both were crowned...

Somehow the coordination was a little off as fireworks started before the Pep Rally ended and some of the spectators were leaving the Pep Rally to view the fireworks, including us... =p
